You are invited to contribute a self portrait to 'imagining ourselves'.

It should be a black and white still image made without the use of digital/photographic methods and materials

(acceptable = ink, pencil, charcoal, paint;  not acceptable = computer, photograph &c)

It should then be photographed or scanned and e mailed to

portraits@somedancersand musicians.com

( the technically challenged can mail me for a postal address!)

It should be no smaller than 400 X 300 pixels and in the proportion 4:3

Please also include your name and what it is you do ( and how you interpret this is up to you!)
your city and country of residence and if you wish, a URL to which you would like me to link your image.

Technical skill is not key here, you do not need to be "good" at drawing/painting to submit - just do your best. If you do happen to be a Picasso don't hold back, that's fine too.

Please note:
(1) I can't accept group contributions from schools &c. although there is absolutely no age limit on individual submissions
(2) All artists retain copyright in their individual images
(3) In the extremely unlikely event of this project generating any sort of income it will be ploughed back into maintaining and extending the project. In this event also a financial summary will be available on request to any participating artist.
(4) Occasionally these portraits get shown offline in a gallery or other setting - if you do not wish your work to be included in this kind of event please indicate when you submit.
